Torticollis & Plagiocephaly
Torticollis is a tight muscle on one side of a babies neck which causes them to prefer to keep their head turned one direction. If left untreated, it can lead to head flattening on one side (plagiocephally). Babies with plagiocephaly may develop vision problems and asymmetries of the head and face.
Infant Assessment
Normal development follows typical milestones. If you think your child’s development is behind, our team can provide specialist developmental assessment that includes observation of age-appropriate motor skills such as pull-to-sit, sitting, rising to stand, and walking/running and prescribe an early intervention program.
A walking abnormality is usually an unusual walking pattern or posture eg. out-toeing, in-toeing, knock knees or bow legs. It can also be associated with pain.
We also assess children who are limping, falling frequently, toe walking.
Our team includes baby hip and foot specialists, who can provide expert assessment of problems such as developmental dyplasia of the hip (clicking hips), congential talipes equinovarus (clubfoot), mettarsus adductus (curving feet) and curly toes.
We offer a comprehensive treatment to regain pain free feet.
